ASSOCIATION FOR POLISH FAMILY
The Association for the Polish Family was established in 2007 and registered as a charity (No. 1143505) in 2011. It started as a playgroup for Polish parents but since expanded its activities into many areas in response to the needs of the Polish Community. We provide advice and support in the fields of well-being, education, health, social and economic deprivation. We offer a full range of services with the overall aim of preventing the worsening of members’ circumstance and to enable self-sufficiency. We do so by diagnosing the problem, explaining options, giving advice and offering practical support. We identify and discuss further action, sign-post and refer to other agencies where relevant.
We also provide extensive interpreting and translation services for a range of stakeholders, including hospitals, schools, police and advocate for our members when needed, we work in English and Polish. Our advice is free and strictly confidential.
We would like to thank all our supporters, funders and partners for their determined support. Association for Polish Family has been heavily supported from the start by Merton Voluntary Service Council, especially Beverley Burton with her ongoing support. Without this, we would not have been able to provide the range of services that we have offered over years. It has been her vision that has helped shape the services that we offer today.
